I’m not sure I even get this. But there is something deep that resonates.

It is the problem of myself being inspired. But I'll give an explanation the best I can. I looked at Fight Club , the creation of it ( not the whole narrative of the book, just the starting of it) which rang in my mind something about the Sabbath, a day to keep sacred and separate from the rest of the world. However, Fight club adds that Psychoanalytic flavor of aggression , I'm thinking here of Freud's work on Totem and Taboo, the original crime of killing the father and how the ritual now becomes the satisfaction and rememberance about the original crime. So, the story of my gf and I is about ( I think) creating a similar ritual where the aggression, the frustration of daily life can be killed through this ironic day of rest and separation and adding our signifiers to the situation, creating the rules to partition off daily life and this ritualistic day to kill it all (the mundane)
