I'm hearing that one purpose that philosophy offers is to help us amplify the thinking in the discourse. And this is through revealing the implications of a specific line of thought so that it's more clear to the person/s exploring that line of thought.
I agree with this use case of philosophy. I feel like this approach is helpful in strengthening the relationship between those persons and enhances their sensitivity to the meaning within what they are exploring. And we need more of this as we learn to be better connected as humans.
Outstanding, and I love both the point that you have to do philosophy to know how philosophy is dangerous, and also the way of describing philosophy as like a doctor, who gives you all the information so that you can make a better, "informed decision."
